A pronoun takes the place of a noun in a sentence. A possessive pronoun takes the place of a noun while showing possession.
The word your is a possessive pronoun. It replaces the name of the person to whom I’m speaking.
I have your bike, but I will return it.
The word yours is also a possessive pronoun. I also replaces the name of the person to whom I’m speaking.
I can’t keep the bike because the bike is yours.

Use the possessive pronouns your and yours to show ownership by the person to whom you are speaking.
