To review: A noun names a person, a place, a thing, or an idea. Singular nouns mean one. Plural nouns mean more than one. Some singular nouns add -s or -es to become plural. Others become plural by changing their form. And some keep the same form for singular and plural. The articles a and an are used with singular unspecific nouns. The article the is used with specific singular nouns and all plural nouns.
