1029. Present Tense Verb – Plural

A present tense verb tells the action that is happening right now. When the sentence has a plural subject (more than one), then we must use a plural verb. Plural subjects often end in -s, but a plural verb does not end in -s. Look at these sentence examples:
The dogs bark every night.
My sisters walk home from school.
The boys rake the yard for Grandma.
Squirrels run up and down the tree.

Use a plural verb when the subject is plural. A plural subject ends in -s. A plural verb does not end in -s.
