754. Make an Adjective by Adding -able to a Noun

The letters –able are another suffix that can be added to the end of a noun to make an adjective. Look at this list of nouns and the adjectives that are formed when -able is added to the noun:
comfort – comfortable
desire – desirable
laugh – laughable
tax – taxable
reason – reasonable

Here are some sentence examples using adjectives that end in -able:
Be sure to come home at a reasonable time.
The sailboat is a taxable purchase.
Jim found himself in laughable circumstances.
