687. The Proper Noun Names People

Proper nouns are words that name specific people. Proper nouns are always capitalized.
Here are some examples of how we write proper nouns in a sentence:
Susan is my best friend.
My teacher this year is Miss Roberts.
George Washington was our first president.
I have an appointment to see Dr. Walker after school today.
Did you meet yet with Professor Johnson?
We are meeting Bobby, Jan, and Julie at the movies tonight.
In each of these sentences, the specific person’s name is capitalized.

Use proper nouns for the names of specific people. Always capitalize a proper noun.
