A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun and renames the noun.
The pronoun you takes the place of the name of the person you are talking to.
Some pronouns take the place of a name but also show ownership. We call these possessive pronouns.
The words your and yours are possessive pronouns. These two words replace the name of the person you are talking to and also show that the person owns something.
I like your new car.
The word your refers to the person you are speaking to and describes their new car by showing ownership.
The new car is yours.
The word yours is a pronoun showing ownership of the car.

I found your missing book. The book is yours.
Here is your dinner. The dinner is yours.
I enjoy your guitar music. The music is yours.
The words your and yours are possessive pronouns. These words take the place of a person’s name and show ownership.
