301. Action Verbs Future Tense

With future tense, something happens in the future. The future is anytime after right now.

We add the helping verb will to an action verb to show future tense.
In the present, Bob walks.
Today, Bob walks.
In the future, Bob will walk.
Tomorrow, Bob will walk.

In the present, I drive.
In the future, I will drive.

In the present, the bell rings.
In the future, the bell will ring.

Make an action verb future tense by adding the helping verb will.

  • Now you try it. Change the present tense action verb in the first sentence to a future tense verb in the second sentence.  Today I eat dinner. Tomorrow, I ___________ dinner. Did you find the two words that you need to make a future tense verb for the second sentence? Good for you!
