291. Action Verbs

A verb shows action in a sentence.
Bob runs.
My dog barked.
The baby cries.
The wind blows.
In each sentence, the verb shows what is happening.

It’s easy to find the verb in a short sentence like the ones above.
Here are some longer sentences. Look for the action in each sentence in order to find the verb.
The leaves fell from the trees.
After school, I stopped at the library.
Three frogs croaked loudly in the pond.
Dad drove all the way home from North Carolina.
In each sentence, the verb shows action in the sentence.
