943. Compound Nouns

Some nouns are compound words made by joining two smaller words together.
Here are some examples of compound nouns:
toothpaste, haircut, ice cream, potato chip, blackberry, whiteboard, grapefruit, quicksand, airline, grasshopper, railroad, airport

Some nouns are formed by putting two or more words together. These nouns are called compound nouns.
