824. Adverbs Tell How the Action Occurs

Many adverbs tell how an action occurs. These adverbs usually end in –ly. Look at these examples:
loudly, quietly, slowly, quickly, carefully, carelessly, calmly, angrily, nicely, powerfully, gladly, nearly, noisily, usually

Bob carefully carried the glass vase to the kitchen.
Our dog barks noisily whenever the doorbell rings.
The bride walked slowly up the aisle.
The wind pounded powerfully against the windows.
