678. More Contractions

Some contractions are made with the auxiliary verb have.
I have – I’ve
you have – you’ve
we have – we’ve
they have – they’ve

We also make contractions with the auxiliary verbs am and has.
I am – I’m
he has – he’s
she has – she’s

Here are some sentence examples:
I have been studying for my test. I’ve been studying for my test.
She has opened all the windows. She’s opened all the windows.
I am working every Saturday this month. I’m working every Saturday this month.

We can make contractions with an apostrophe and the auxiliary verbs have, has, and am.
