572. Future Tense Progressive Verbs

A progressive verb tells about a continuous action – something that is being done for a continuous time. A future progressive verb adds an -ing ending to the verb and uses the helping verbs will be. Here are some examples of the future progressive verb form:
I will be washing the car when you get here.
Mom will be working in the yard all day.
The boys will be playing baseball this summer.
We will be walking to school all week.

Add –ing to the action verb and use the helping verbs will be when writing the future progressive tense.

▶It’s your turn. Change the future tense form of the verb in this sentence to future progressive. I will work this summer. Did you add -ing to the verb and use an additional helping verb? Good for you!
