352. The Pronoun Me as the Object of a Preposition

The word me is an object pronoun. Use me as the object of a preposition.

Here are three common prepositions: to, for, and from.
These prepositions use the pronoun me as an object of the preposition.

John gave a gift to me.
Mom baked a cake for me.
Grandpa received a letter from me.

Sometimes a preposition has multiple objects of the preposition. We still use me as an object preposition.
John gave a gift to my brother and me.
Mom baked a cake for my brother and me.
Grandpa received a letter from my brother and me.

Always use the pronoun me as an object of the preposition. Things happen to me. Things are done for me. People receive things from me.
