293. Action Verbs with Present Progressive Tense

Present tense happens right now. Present progressive tense also happens right now -but it’s ongoing. Present progressive verbs use a form of the verb to be with an -ing ending on the action verb

Present: I walk.
Present Progressive: I am walking.

Present: Mom drives a car.
Present Progressive: Mom is driving a car.

Present: The boys play baseball.
Present Progressive: The boys are playing baseball.

Present: We eat dessert.
Present Progressive: We are eating dessert.

Use Present Progressive tense to show ongoing action that is happening right now. Present Progressive tense uses action verbs with an -ing ending.
