287. Irregular Comparative and Superlative Adjectives

Irregular comparative and superlative adjectives do not add -er or est, and they do not use more or most.
Irregular comparative and superlative adjectives actually change the form of the word.

good, better, best
You are a good baker.
Mom is a better baker.
Grandma is the best baker of all.

bad, worse, worst
This chocolate cake tastes bad.
The peanut cake tastes worse.
This sweet potato cake tastes the worst of all.

little, less, least
I have very little money.
Sam has less money.
Bob has the least money of all.

much, more, most
I have much work to do.
Uncle Tim has more work to do.
Dad has the most work of all.

Irregular comparative and superlative adjectives change their form and spelling.
