Some adjectives are formed by adding the letters -ful to a noun.
doubt – doubtful
cheer – cheerful
skill – skillful
success – successful

Some nouns change the last letter -y to an -i before adding -ful.
duty – dutiful
mercy – merciful
beauty – beautiful

A noun can be changed to an adjective by adding -ful.
