1038. Future Tense Linking Verb

A linking verb uses a form of the verb to be while connecting the subject to an adjective or a noun.
Use the helping verb will when writing a future tense linking verb.

Look at these examples where the linking verb connects the subject to a predicate noun:
Jim will be a teacher next year.
Sarah will be a nurse.
Mom will be a grandma in two weeks.

These sentence examples use a future tense inking verb to join the subject to an adjective:
Dad will be upset if we are late.
