1012. Change Adjective into Noun with -ness

We can use the suffix -ness to change an adjective into a noun.
The word helpful is an adjective. John is a helpful boy.
If we add the suffix -ness onto the adjective helpful, we get a noun: helpfulness
I really appreciate your helpfulness.

Here are other adjectives that can become nouns when you add -ness:
happy – happiness
anxious – anxiousness
attractive – attractiveness
rebellious – rebelliousness

Add -ness to some adjectives to make them into nouns.

It’s your turn. Change the adjective in the first sentence into a noun for the second sentence. You will have to change the letter y at the end of the adjective into an i before adding -ness. John is lazy. I notice his _____ every time I ask him to do something. I hope you figured it out.
