1002. Possessive Adjectives

A possessive adjective modifies a noun by showing possession or ownership. Here is a list of possessive adjectives: my, your, his, her, its, our, their. Use these adjectives in front of a noun to show possession.

That is our school. The word our modifies house.
Mary brought her bird to school today. The word her modifies bird
My parents bought their house in 1954. The word their modifies house.
The dog chased its tail. The word its modifies tail.
I like your picture. The word your modifies picture.

The words my, your, our, his, her, its are possessive adjectives. Place a possessive adjective in front of a noun to show ownership of that noun.
